Elaborate reticulated pedestal base with four cherubs in full relief perched on the center column and four helmeted heads (possibly Athena) resting at corners. Four scroll feet with gilt highlights. The top has a central bisque plaque in relief depicting a scene with Marie de Medicis (Queen of France and consort to Henry IV and regent for her son Louis XIII). Dresden porcelain base created at the Sächische Porzellanfabrik zu Potschappel von Carl Thieme, Dresden. Mark on the base of a "T" above an "X" indicates a date of 1888-1901. Chip to the lower edge of the wing of one of the helmeted figures. Multiple small chips at the edges of the small flowers on the base (see additional photos). Wear to edge gilding on table top.
