Central navy medallion inside a light blue medallion, stylized floral design, multiple borders. An outstanding carpet with tight weave. Provenance: Estate of Jack Faxon, Birmingham, MI. Michigan Senator and creator of the Michigan Council for the Arts.
There is even wear throughout the carpet with no areas showing wear due to previous furniture placement or walking paths. The wear that is there is typical for a lightly used carpet of this vintage. No evidence of damage or repairs. Fringe is worn but wear does not go into the weave of the carpet itself. Very fine and decorative carpet.
