A 1979 oil on canvas by A. Upeluieks. Depicting a shoreline under a cloudy sky. Artist's signature to the lower right with "A. Upelnieks" and "1979" written to the verso. Frame measures H 32" x L 38". His first solo exhibition was in Riga, Latvia, 14 solo exhibitions followed throughout Germany from 1946 to 1954.
As viewed under UV and natural light there is no evidence of damage or restoration. Minor degree of craquelure. Moderate edge wear to frame. CP
